Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) is a cultivated mushroom closely related to the rare wild Ophiocordyceps sinensis, which grows naturally in the Himalayan highlands. Cordyceps mushrooms have a long cultural history in different parts of Asia. The rare wild species Ophiocordyceps sinensis, to which cultivated Cordyceps militaris is related, occurs in high-altitude regions of the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau, including areas of China, Nepal and India.

Siam Vital’s Cordyceps Mushroom Powder is produced from the fruiting bodies of mushrooms naturally and sustainably cultivated in China. After harvesting, the mushrooms are carefully cleaned, gently dried, and finely ground. This process helps maintain the mushroom’s characteristic orange colour and earthy aroma.

This fine powder blends easily into smoothies, teas, or plant-based recipes, adding a mild, natural flavour and depth.

Each batch is tested in independent laboratories to confirm compliance with European quality and safety standards, resulting in a clean, high-quality product that embodies Siam Vital’s philosophy of connecting traditional heritage with mindful, modern living.

Cordyceps is one of five mushroom powders in the Siam Vital range. It is also part of the Morning Focus Ritual, where it is combined with Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder, Himalayan Golden Tips Black Tea and 10% Full Spectrum CBD Oil.

Using Cordyceps in a Daily Routine

Cordyceps has a mild, earthy flavour with a faint sweetness, and its characteristic orange colour carries through into drinks. It blends smoothly into warm water, coffee or tea without significantly altering the taste.

For a simple preparation, stir the suggested serving amount into coffee, tea, warm water, smoothies or plant-based milk drinks. It can also be mixed into broths, soups, porridge or plant-based dishes. As part of Siam Vital’s Morning Focus Ritual, Cordyceps pairs naturally with Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder, Himalayan Golden Tips Black Tea and 10% Full Spectrum CBD Oil.

Ingredients

100% Cordyceps mushroom (Cordyceps militaris) fruiting body powder

Usage

Add 1–2 teaspoons (~2g per teaspoon) to warm water, tea, juice or smoothies. Cordyceps powder can also be used in soups, broths and plant-based dishes.

Stir well, as Cordyceps powder settles quickly in liquid. For the smoothest result, mix into liquid that is warm but not boiling.

Storage

Reseal tightly after each use to preserve freshness.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Cordyceps militaris and Ophiocordyceps sinensis?
Ophiocordyceps sinensis is the rare wild species traditionally collected at high altitude in Himalayan regions such as Nepal and Tibet. Cordyceps militaris is a cultivated species from the same broader Cordyceps family. Siam Vital uses Cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies cultivated in China, offering a more sustainable and consistent source.
2. Why is Cordyceps powder orange?
The orange colour is natural to Cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies. It comes from naturally occurring pigments in the mushroom and indicates that the powder is made from whole fruiting bodies without bleaching or heavy processing. The colour may carry through slightly into drinks.
3. When is the best time to use Cordyceps powder?
There is no fixed rule for when to use Cordyceps powder. It can be added to coffee, tea, warm water or smoothies as part of an existing daily routine.
4. How much Cordyceps should I use per serving?
The suggested serving is 1–2 teaspoons, approximately 2g per teaspoon, as indicated on the product packaging. The exact amount can be adjusted according to personal preference and how you choose to incorporate Cordyceps into your daily routine.
5. Can I combine Cordyceps with other Siam Vital products?
Yes. Cordyceps can be combined with other Siam Vital products as part of a broader daily routine. It is also included in the Morning Focus Ritual, together with Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder, Himalayan Golden Tips Black Tea and 10% Full Spectrum CBD Oil, creating a well-rounded ritual experience.
6. Is this product sustainably sourced?
Yes. The Cordyceps militaris used in this product is cultivated in China using sustainable practices rather than being wild-collected. Cultivation reduces pressure on wild populations and allows for consistent quality control at every harvest.
