Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is an extraordinary mushroom that naturally grows on birch trees in the cold northern forests of Eurasia. For our Siam Vital Chaga Mushroom Powder, we are only using the fruiting bodies (sclerotium) of hand-collected mushrooms from China’s northern forest regions.
After harvest, the chaga is carefully cleaned, gently dried and finely ground resulting in a fine powder, which preserves the dark-brownish colour and natural aroma of the mushroom.
Chaga has a long history of traditional use in Northern Europe, Siberia, and East Asia, where it was typically brewed into a dark, earthy infusion. Because this mushroom only grows naturally on birch trees in the colder northern regions, it has been considered a symbol for longevity and resilience.
Our Chaga Mushroom Powder easily blends into smoothies, teas, and plant-based drinks, providing a mild earthy flavour and depth.
Each batch is tested in independent laboratories to confirm compliance with European quality and safety standards, resulting in a clean, high-quality product that embodies Siam Vital’s philosophy of connecting traditional heritage with mindful, modern living.
Chaga is one of five adaptogenic mushroom powders in the Siam Vital range. It pairs well with Agaricus Mushroom Powder, also included in the Immunity & Balance collection, or with selected teas such as Handpicked White Tea for a gentle evening ritual and Handpicked Green Tea from the Digestive & Wellbeing collection for daytime use.
Using Chaga in a Daily Routine
Chaga powder has a naturally dark, earthy character that pairs well with black tea, coffee alternatives and warming broths. Its mild bitterness softens in hot liquid and works as a background note rather than a dominant flavour.
For a simple preparation, stir the suggested serving amount into hot water or brewed tea. It can also be added to smoothies, plant-based milk drinks or savoury broths. For a Himalayan-inspired combination, try adding it to a cup of Kathmandu Kosmos Tea Blend from the Himalayan Wellness Ritual.
Ingredients
100% Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) fruiting body (sclerotium) powder
Usage
Add 1–2 teaspoons (~2g per teaspoon) to warm water, tea, juice or smoothies. Chaga powder can also be used in soups, broths and plant-based dishes.
Stir well, as Chaga powder settles quickly in liquid. For the smoothest result, mix into liquid that is warm but not boiling.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Reseal tightly after each use to preserve freshness.
Keep out of the reach of children.
