The Story Behind the Foundations Ritual
The Foundations Ritual brings together Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder and Cordyceps Mushroom Powder in a two-part daily routine inspired by centuries of traditional mushroom use throughout Asia.
The ritual was created around a simple idea: the active part of the day does not always require the same kind of preparation from beginning to end. The first hours often set the direction for the day, while the periods that follow may be shaped by work, study and other attentive activities.
This natural progression shaped the role of each mushroom within the ritual.
Cordyceps has long held a valued place in Asian herbal traditions, where it became associated with vitality and active ways of life. Rare wild Cordyceps species were traditionally gathered in the high-altitude regions of Tibet and the Himalayas, where their scarcity and distinctive growing conditions contributed to their highly regarded status.
Lion’s Mane developed a different identity. Appreciated throughout East Asia as both an edible mushroom and a traditional herbal ingredient, it earned a highly regarded place within regional herbal practices. This history has helped establish Lion’s Mane as one of the most familiar mushrooms within modern work, study and daily wellness routines.
The Foundations Ritual brings these two traditions together through a clear division of purpose. Cordyceps accompanies the beginning of the day, while Lion’s Mane finds its place later during work, study or other structured activities. Both can be incorporated into tea, coffee, smoothies or other preferred preparations, allowing the ritual to adapt naturally to individual habits.
The pairing is therefore not based simply on two mushrooms sharing Asian heritage. It combines two distinct traditional identities within different parts of the same daily rhythm: Cordyceps at the beginning of the day, reflecting its traditional association with vitality, followed by Lion’s Mane later during work, study or other attentive routines.
For those who later wish to develop the routine further, the Morning Focus Ritual builds upon the same two-part philosophy by combining Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps with Himalayan Golden Tips Black Tea and a flexible CBD component.
Both mushroom powders are independently laboratory tested for quality and safety, reflecting Siam Vital’s commitment to carefully selected ingredients and responsible production.
Siam Vital Ritual Collections are designed to become part of a consistent daily routine rather than offer an instant solution. We believe personal wellbeing is supported by balanced habits, quality ingredients and meaningful daily rituals.
Inside the Ritual Collection
Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder
Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is produced from the fruiting body of the mushroom, known in China as Hóu Tóu Gū and in Japan as Yamabushitake. For centuries, it has been valued within the herbal traditions of Asia, where it was appreciated both as a rare forest delicacy and as a distinctive ingredient in traditional practices.
Siam Vital’s Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder is produced using carefully selected fruiting bodies and modern processing methods that help preserve the mushroom’s naturally occurring compounds.
The fine powder has a mild, slightly nutty flavor with almost no bitterness, blending smoothly into tea and other warm drinks without overpowering their natural taste.
Cordyceps Mushroom Powder
Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) is a cultivated mushroom closely related to the rare wild Ophiocordyceps sinensis, which grows naturally in the Himalayan highlands. It has been appreciated for centuries across Asia and holds a longstanding place in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tibetan herbal practices.
Siam Vital’s Cordyceps Mushroom Powder is produced from sustainably cultivated fruiting bodies grown in China. After harvesting, the mushrooms are carefully cleaned, gently dried, and finely ground to preserve their characteristic orange color and earthy aroma.
The resulting powder blends easily into tea and other warm drinks, adding a mild, earthy flavor with a subtle natural sweetness.
Enjoying the Foundations Ritual
The Foundations Ritual was created as a flexible two-part routine, with each mushroom accompanying a different stage of the active day.
Begin the morning with Cordyceps Mushroom Powder. Add approximately 2 grams, or one teaspoon to tea, coffee, a smoothie or another preferred preparation and stir thoroughly until evenly dispersed. The powder remains in the drink and may settle naturally at the bottom, so stir again before finishing.
Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder can be introduced later during work, study or another preferred part of the daily routine. Add approximately 2 grams, or one teaspoon to coffee, tea, a smoothie or a warm drink of choice and mix thoroughly before enjoying.
The two powders may also be combined when preferred. For a single preparation, add one teaspoon of each mushroom powder to a cup, pour over warm water and stir until evenly dispersed.
Both products can also be incorporated into soups and other recipes, allowing the ritual to adapt naturally to individual habits. Their mild, earthy flavors remain versatile whether the mushrooms are enjoyed separately or together.
A Ritual That Builds Daily Foundations
Every lasting routine begins with strong foundations. The Foundations Ritual is not intended as a quick solution or a single moment of transformation. Its value lies in repetition, intention and the steady practice of returning to the same two-part routine each day.
By bringing together Cordyceps for the beginning of the day and Lion’s Mane for later moments of work, study or personal routine, the ritual creates a simple structure for approaching the active hours with greater purpose, one preparation at a time.
